Equinor?offers “Summer internships” — summer jobs for students who have completed the second year of their bachelor's degree through to the first year of their masters. The deadline for applications to the 2020 Summer internships was 23 December.

Equinor’s recruitment process is simple, transparent and fair. We advertise our vacancies on www.thehssm.com and on our social media sites.

All applications and CVs must be submitted online and necessary certificates and references must be attached to your CV. Attachments must be in English or Norwegian. Please note that there is a size limit of 1MB for each attachment.

Once you submit your application, the following steps will be taken:

  1. Once Equinor has received your application, a letter/e-mail confirming receipt of application will immediately be sent to you. Emails from our system come from: [email protected]. Ensure that emails from us reach your inbox, and not your junk or spam folder, by adding them to a safe senders list, also called "whitelisting". Please contact us if you do not hear from us within 24 hours.
  2. On the closing date of the application, a recruiter will handle your application.
  3. If your application is of interest, you will be contacted for an interview. There may be several rounds of interviews before the selection process is completed. Interviews may include some psychometric tests. Equinor wants to get to know you during the interview, but the interview also gives you an opportunity to find out if Equinor is right for you.?
  4. Before selection is completed, a background check is mandatory.
  5. If you are the selected candidate for the position, you will receive an offer from us.?
  6. If not, you will receive a rejection letter. If so, you are welcome to apply for another vacancy in the future. We suggest that you sign up for job alerts.

We need good heads with the right attitudes, and Equinor has international ambitions and needs an international workforce. When we employ summer interns or graduates we are looking for a mix of qualifications and personal qualities. One of the personal qualities we look for is an international mindset and the ability to work in an international environment. Apprentices are required to speak Norwegian.

Our standard global recruitment process aims to ensure that we find the best qualified person for the position. The duration of the process may vary for each position. A typical recruitment process takes on average up to 10-12 weeks

All graduate positions can be found on Equinor.com, including a description of the programme selection criteria. Positions will be available in the search button on the corporate graduate programme page when the positions are posted.

Graduate recruitment intake may differ from year to year, but typically positions are posted early fall.

We offer a two-year programme with 5 modules/gatherings and on-the-job learning based on rotations of varying length and scope, according to professional area.

Each graduate will be assigned their own mentor and buddy. You will get challenging and meaningful tasks that corresponds with your interest and our company's business needs.

The start-up date is an agreement between yourself and your leader. However, the first module will typically start in September.

Our corporate graduate programme is global and we hire graduates to several locations outside Norway. Which locations will vary according to business need.

That does not necessarily mean that you are not qualified for the position. The competition is tough. We receive thousands of applications throughout the year. We would like to stress that you are welcome to apply again if you find a position suitable to your background. There may be new opportunities for a job with us.

Graduates are employed by the line within their staffs/business area. Your organisational belonging may change if and when you have job rotations.

Yes,?you can apply for as many positions you wish and are qualified for. If you have already attached the required documents to another Graduate 2020 submitted application, you do not need to upload them again.

Graduates are identified with the same professional titles as other employees, in line with the Equinor career model. Being a graduate is the initial phase of professional development for all Equinor employees who fit the graduate programme selection criteria. After the graduate programme you will no longer have a graduate title and will be deployed into a permanent position and unit..

Summer internship

The summer internship positions will be posted on equinor.com/careers, with a description of the programme selection process. The positions will be visible on our web page once the application period is open.

The programme is primarily aimed at students who are in their second year of their Bachelor’s studies, up to and including, their first year of Master’s degree.

The summer internship duration (Norway and UK) is 6-8 weeks, usually between June and August. In the US, the summer internship period is usually 12 weeks.

The selected candidates will be given the opportunity to engage with some of the world’s foremost technical environments and learn about Equinor and the energy sector. Equinor will evaluate all candidates applying for positions individually and previous internships will not automatically make you more eligible to a position than any other applicants.

The summer internship application period may vary a bit from year to year, but positions will?usually be posted on our careers pages during November. For summer internships 2020, we?welcomed applications for positions in Norway and UK from mid-November to mid-December?2019.?The US has a separate application period, typically from August to October.?

The purpose of our summer internship programme is to invite students to get to know the energy sector, get real work experience and build a professional network. Equinor wish to secure long-term access to talents, and by offering summer internships, we believe we can contribute positively in developing talents for the future energy sector.

If you are unsuccessful in getting an internship with us, it does not necessarily mean that you are not qualified for the position. We receive a high volume of applications and the competition is high. We encourage all applicants to make sure they read and follow the instructions given in the job advert to avoid getting dismissed due to missing/unverified documentation. New opportunities usually come around, and you are very welcome to apply again later when you find a position you think is suitable for you.
